Pakistan’s Asif knocked out of IBSF Snooker Championship

KARACHI: Jamie Clarke from Wales ended Pakistan’s world snooker champion Muhammad Asif’s dream run in the in the IBSF 6 Red & Team Snooker Championship while Muhammad Sajjad reached the last 32 stage handing out 4-0 frames defeat to Steve Donohue of Australia. According to results made available from Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, Clarke defeated Pakistan star cueist Asif 4-1 in knock-out last 64 round. The score-line was 38-25, 28-42, 52-27, 62-06, 37-07. Earlier in the last-96 round Asif defeated Mostafa Gebaly of Egypt 32-45, 50-0, 36-09, 56-11, 68-0, which included a clearance of 68 in the final frame. On the other hand, Sajjad was outstanding against Donohue, chalking up break of 49 and 68 in third and fourth frames. He walked away with 38-18, 41-0, 49-0, 68-0 win. Pakistan also reached the last 32 stage of team championship and will face Australia.
