LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan has dismissed the reports that the board had received the government’s response regarding the resumption of Pakistan-India series. Earlier, reports circulated in the media that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had given a green signal to the cricket board to play the Pakistan-India series at a third venue. Talking to reporters here at the PCB headquarters, Shahryar said the board had not received any reply from the government, adding that there was a chance the prime minister would respond to the board’s letter within two days. Both the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had sought reply from their respective governments regarding the resumption of Pakistan-India series, which is scheduled to take place in December.
