KARACHI: Muhammad Jamil and Nisar Ali slammed brilliant half centuries to help Pakistan blind cricket team defeat India blind cricket team by 4 wickets in the third and final one-day series match at National Stadium Karachi here on Sunday. With this victory, Pakistan won the series 2-1. Man of the match Kethenbhai Patel gave a spectacular all-round performance but his effort went in vain, thanks to Jamil and Nisar’s superb batting.
Jamil blasted 13 boundaries in his enterprising knock of 86 and Nisar’s match winning unbeaten 83 was studded with 14 hits to the ropes as Pakistan raced to the winning target for the loss of 6 wickets with 14 balls remaining.
After scoring a century, Jethenbhai also took 2 wickets for 89 runs to emerge as the star of the match and grabbed the player of the match award. Put to bat first, India amassed 365 for the loss of 9 wickets in their stipulated 40 overs. Kethenbhai smashed his second century of the series. Kethenbhai hit 4 boundaries in his 118 while last match centurion Venkatesh Dunna Rao cracked 4 fours in his 50 and Hanuman Poonia made 43 with 4 strikes to the ropes. Sajid Nawaz was the pick of the Pakistan bowling attack grabbing 3 wickets for 60 and Idrees Saleem took 2 wickets for 87.
