KARACHI – Tahir Nasim achieved a unique electrifying feat in annuals of golf by performing three Eagles on holes four on successive day in the Faysal Bank 16th Sindh Open Golf Championship at Arabian Sea Country Club on Sunday.
Tahir, 44, of Lahore Gymkhana ended 12th in the 54-hole contest with three-day aggregate of 220 after rounds of 76, 72 and 72 to achieve excellence during Rs. Two million prize money event. Tahir's achievement - a linesman in Pakistan WAPDA came to light on final day by tabulation committee while preparing the final results.
“I am absolutely thrilled to achieve such a feat and happy that it is being acknowledged by Sindh Golf Association and ASCC chief Arif Abbasi,” he commented. ASCC management showing good great gesture for Tahir Nasim by rewarding him free boarding and lodging as was done for the top golfers.
He said he has been featuring in the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) circuit for over 15 years and won the Pakistan Open title in the year 2000.
