SHARJAH – In what was possibly his best performance of the Pakistan Super League, Ravi Bopara dealt several hits and wickets to Lahore Qalandars as Karachi Kings won by27 runs. The Kings –who batted first – scored 178 runs. Bopara scored 71 runs (43 balls). He was followed by Nauman Anwar who was declared out at 35 runs (25 balls). Captain Shoaib Malik was bowled at 27runs (25 balls). The Qalandars missed several catches. Zafar Gohar and Zohaib Khan took two wickets each – against 26 and 35 runs – respectively. Kevin Cooper took one wicket against 28 runs. Cameron Delport was the highest scorer for Lahore Qalandars (55 runs in 39 balls). He was followed by Chris Gayle who – surprisingly – hit multiple boundaries before being declared out at 37 runs (28 balls). Hard-hitter Umar Akmal was bowled at 19 runs (19 balls). Spectators witnessed several thunderous spells from Bopara, who sent six Qalandars back to the locker room. Sohail Khan and Usama Mir took win wicket each – against 30 and 33 runs – respectively.
