KARACHI: All sacrificial animals entering the cattle market at Sohrab Goth will be vaccinated to save them from diseases, Sohrab Goth Maweshi Mandi Administrator Rana Imran said in a statement issued today (Saturday).
He said that all arrangements are in full swing to start Sohrab Goth Maweshi Mandi on the stipulated time while the police and rangers will take care of security issues.
He further said that as many as 27 blocks will be set up along with all financial facilities including ATMs, two bank branches and security arrangements under the police and rangers.
He said, “Heavy machineries are being utilised while more than one thousand searchlights, separate toilets for ladies and gents and mosques will also be established.” The contract of cattle market (Maweshi Mandi) has been awarded to Riaz and Co.
He further said that we are committed to facilitate the citizens with the best services this year at cattle market on the Super Highway to purchase sacrificial animals for Eidul Azha.
The management’s security staff along with law enforcing agencies will take charge of the security in the parking zones. Proper water supply for animals and water sprinkling with regular intervals will resolve problems of dust and will level the land.
He said, “Banking facilities for citizens and cattle merchants and sellers will provide them convenience in financial transactions. Proper lighting arrangements will turn night into day.”
He further said that a beauty contest of animals and a stage walk contest of the animals would also be arranged. Meanwhile, cattle merchants around the country have expressed their satisfaction upon the arrangement of the cattle market.
