All set for PIA pre-Hajj flight

KARACHI: PIA Pre- Hajj 2014’s maiden flight, PK 2001 will take off from Jinnah International Airport for Jeddah at 07:00am today (Thursday) carrying more than 300 intending pilgrims. “Intending Hajj pilgrims will be seen off by PIA Managing Director, Shahnawaz Rehman, Airport Services Director, Aijaz Mazhar, and senior officials of the airline, CAA and ASF,” PIA spokesperson said on Wednesday. Later PIA’s 3 Hajj flights PK 2201, PK 2101, PK 2105 will leave from Lahore on August 28 carrying 1160 intending Hujjaj. PIA would be carrying around 54,000 intending hajj pilgrims to the Holy Land. Out of which 112 Hajj flights and 11,000 through scheduled flights from all over Pakistan will carry 43,000 Hujjaj. From the city, PIA will carry 6,200 intending pilgrims through 16 flights, from Lahore 9,100 intending pilgrims through 19 flights, from Islamabad 6,300 pilgrims through 13 flights, from Quetta 9,600 pilgrims through 29 flights, from Peshawar 6,600 pilgrims through 20 flights, from Multan 4,000 pilgrims through 12 flights and from Sialkot 1,500 pilgrims through 03 flights.
