LARKANA: Three persons were gunned down including a child and a woman and five others were injured in Larkana on Thursday evening in the limits of Areeja police station. According to details, in the village of Garhi Deewan, two groups of the Odha community fought over achildre’s issue which led to both sides coming out with arms and firing shots at each other. Three persons, namely Munwar Odho, his aunt 70-year Sharma, and 14-year nephew Amjad died on the spot and five were injured including two children, Kainat and Babar. The bodies and the injured were rushed to the Casualty of Chandka Medical College Hospital for treatment, further management and fulfillment of legal procedures. The condition of all the injured, according to duty doctors, is out of danger and they will remain under treatment. Areeja police told Newsmen that the incident took place over a petty. They further said that after lodging of an FIR, action will be taken against the accused. After conducting an autopsy, the dead bodies were handed over to their relatives for final rites. It was revealed that both sides are, in fact, close relatives.
