KARACHI: Three persons lost lives while another two sustained injuries in separate accidents in city on Friday.
A man lost his life in a hit and run incident near Natha Khan Goth on Shahrah-e-Faisal. Police said the driver drove away with the vehicle. The identification of the deceased could not be ascertained, however he was around 30. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem.
Two men identified as Farrukh (25) in Orangi Town and and Muhammad Iqbal (26) son of Muhammed Ramzan in Green Town Quaidabad were electrocuted during work. The bodies were shifted to JPMC for post-mortem.
A 25 years old man and his father Khurshid (50) after receiving power shocks got injured during work on live lines in Orangi Town number 13.
They were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile according to intelligence reports Sindh especially Karachi was on high alert after terror threat following the military operation in tribal areas.
The alert warns the terrorist outfits can target official and military facilities in Karachi and Sindh interior.
The areas include official and military buildings, old and new vegetable markets besides more than 30 sensitive spots in city.
It is said banned outfits can target airport, seaport, vegetable market and other official locations including Sohrab Goth, Machar Colony, Banaras, Guddap, Yousaf Goth, Quaidabad, Bin Qasim, Pehlwan Goth, Kanwari Colony and Nazimabad. The Sindh administration after threats reinforced security arrangements including law enforcement agencies on alert.
