Seven persons including a constable killed, two injured

KARACHI: The unidentified gunmen shot dead as many as seven people including a policeman besides injuring two persons in separate incidents of violence in the city on Monday.Unidentified shooters gunned down Saeed Gul (40) son of Saudagir Khan, who was identified as a Pakistani Quami Razakar constable near Qasba Morr in Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for the medical examination. Police said he was serving at Pirabad police station.Police recovered four bullet-riddled bodies of unidentified men, aged between 25 and 30 from Raees Goth in Baldia Town. The hands and feet of the victims were tied up with rope and their bodies bore torture marks and gunshot wounds, police added. The bodies were shifted to Edhi Sohrab Goth mortuary. Police said unidentified killers shot dead a girl Nazia (18) daughter of Habib in Lines Area Saddar. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities. The motive behind the killing was still not known.Unknown armed persons killed a man near Babar Weight Balance Scale in Surjani Town. The identification of the deceased could not be ascertained. The body was shifted to ASH for postmortem examination. According to police, Nasira Sohail wife of Sohail Ansari riding on her car (AHQ-065) on MA Jinnah Road was shot injured by firing of unknown armed men. She was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.In another incident a man identified as Rahat Ali (40) son of Abdul Ghafoor received injury when a stray bullet hit him near Ibrahim Hyderi Korangi area. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
