KARACHI: A sensitisation seminar for media on transport sector and related issues was organised under Pakistan Sustainable Transport (PAKSTRAN) Project on Monday.
The event aimed at engaging media to report on social, economic, developmental and environmental issues related to transport sector.
Speaking on the occasion, IUCN Pakistan Country Representative Mahmood Akhtar Cheema mentioned that the IUCN as a partner in the project has initiated several activities to raise awareness, including enhanced awareness about sustainable transport.
PAKSTRAN National Project Manager Dr Saleem Janjua said that the objective was to reduce energy consumption and emissions and improve urban development.
