Zardari-Nawaz meeting will end uncertainty: PPP

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senators in a joint statement said on Saturday Zardari-Nawaz meeting at Raiwind would end the prevailing state of uncertainty and pave ways for economic and political stability, which was need of the hour. They said sovereignty of the country and unity of the nation was at stake now due to unwise moves by Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf (PTI)’s Chairman Imran Khan. Senator Maula Bux Chandio, Senator Saeed Ghani and Senator Kamran Sahar said Imran Khan should realise the masses could have given their mandate to him provided he would have held them as umpire on Aug 15. The sit-in in front of the Parliament was neither a cricket match nor was a real sit-in and hence there would be no umpire to raise his finger. They asked Imran Khan to immediately wind up the musical party and the discotheque in the disguise of sit-in. Imran Khan had been using foul language for past many days and made hilarious statements. The PTI Chairman had been changing his demands with the passage of every day, which was nothing but a useless drama, which he should now stop, said the PPP senators. The PPP leaders said Imran Khan had launched his long (freedom) march without taking the pros and cons into due consideration due to which he lacked his own reasoning as what he wanted to do and what kind of demands he should place to the opposite party.
