Extremism and terrorism biggest problems: Sattar

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Rabita Committee (MQM RC) member Dr Farooq Sattar said religious extremism and terrorism were Pakistan’s biggest problems. He said eradication of terrorism was necessary for the internal stability, economic growth and national unity. We should adopt concrete and effective measures and long term plans for controlling the growing extremism in the country, Dr Farooq said.At an iftar party arranged by MQM’s International Secretariat London attended by large number of MQM’s UK’s office bearers and workers Dr. Sattar said Altaf Hussain had warned the rulers and people in power Talibanisation was not good for Pakistan. “Pakistan will suffer if we fail to stop spreading of Talibinisation, “ he warned.People held Hussain up to ridicule instead of paying attention to his warnings about the growing influence of Taliban. They denied spreading of Talibinisation, which resulted influence from Karachi to Khyber. They have caused irreparable damage to Pakistan. Pakistan would not have suffered if they had paid attention to Hussain’s warning. Now the international media was saying Pakistan should listen to Hussain, Dr Sattar said.Everyone talks about the revolution of poor people in Pakistan. Only those people can bring revolution who have presented role model. Hussain Hussain has set an example of revolution by sending people from educated and poor and middle class to assemblies. MQM is the only party, which can bring revolution in the country. With Allah’s help MQM would bring about a revolution in this country under the leadership of Hussain, Dr Sattar said.He asked workers to spread the message of the movement with determination and follow the teachings of the Quaid-e-Tehreek Hussain. He said our revolution would meet with success.
