Rangers evolve security plan for strategic installations

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh has chalked out strategy to protect sensitive installations in view of any fall out of military operation in North Waziristan. Other concerned departments have also been asked to exercise extra-vigilance and ensure immediate sharing of information with the Rangers authorities. The security plan for the city was discussed and finalized at a meeting held here at Rangers headquarters. Senior Rangers officers, Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Director General Maritime Security Agency, Pakistan Navy officers, Deputy Inspector General (Traffic Police), Security Director, Karachi Port Trust, Deputy Commissioner,South and representatives from Local government department attended the meeting.The meeting was told that all the relevant departments would work in close coordination and share any information they would get to preempt any terrorists threat.
