Five killed, three injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Five people were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Wednesday. A youth, Farhan, 20, son of Farooq, resident of New Karachi, Sec 5/F, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Supermarket in Liaquatabad. The body was shifted to mortuary after medico-legal formalities conducted in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Two men, Sameer, 30, and an unidentified man, aged 35, were shot dead near Malik Bakery in Nanakwara, Lyari. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsies An unidentified man, aged 35, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Musharraf Colony, Mauripur. The body was shifted to CHK for postmortem examination. A man, Saeed Ahmed, 40, son of Abdul Majeed, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Tibet Center in Saddar. The body was shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities. Two people, Mehrab, 10, son of Shakil, and Arshi, 43, were shot and injured by unknown assailants in Daryabad Lyari. The injured were shifted to CHK for treatment. A man, Nadeem, 28, son of Naseer, was seriously injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on him near Sherwala Thalla in Korangi No 2 ½ .  The injured was rushed to JPMC for treatment.
