Six more fall victim to violence in Karachi

KARACHI: Six people were killed and four others injured in different firing incidents in the city on Friday.Muhammad Saad, 28, son of Muhammad Sohail, was shot dead by unknown armed men at Johar Morr in Gulistan-e-Johar. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.Hashim Raza, 45, son of Maqbool Yar Khan, was killed by unidentified armed motorcyclists in Landhi near Labour Square Gate No-1. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a postmortem examination.Separately, Muhammad Baseer, 41, son of Tando Khan, was shot dead by unknown armed culprits in Naseerabad. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.Zia Masood, 24, son of Shahab Masood, was killed by unknown armed persons in North Nazimabad near Landikotal Chowrangi. The body was brought to ASH for medico-legal formalities.The bodies of two men aged around 32, were found from ICI flyover and traffic license office Nazimabad. They were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and ASH. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man, Ashraf Ali, son of Haji Kareem, was shot and injured by armed men in Pak Colony near Petrol pump. The injured was rushed to CHK for treatment.Rizwan, 16, son of Ashraf, was injured by unidentified armed motorcyclists in Garden area near Shoe Market. The injured was shifted to CHK for treatment.Mir Hassan, 55, son of Muhammad Hassan, was shot and injured by unknown armed in Lyari near Meera Naka. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.In yet another incident, Fahmida Parveen, 50, wife of Rafique, resident of New Karachi, was injured during resistance to a robbery bid near mosque at New Karachi bypass. She was shifted to JPMC.
