Driving licence facility starts

KARACHI: Additional Inspector General (IG) Traffic Sindh, Ghulam Qadir Thebo, has started International Driving Licence facility under Nazimabad Driving Licence Branch, here on Monday. While examining the licence procedure, Thebo gave directions to DIG Driving Licence to ensure proper guidance to applicants in acquiring International Driving Licences and make traffic laws and principles easily accessible to citizens. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Zone IV, SP, DSP Traffic Licence Branch and other traffic police officers were also present on the occasion. He urged DIG Driving Licence to ensure the recruitment of skilled staff and establish a woman desk for their facilities. Moreover, he said that a central help desk fitted with all facilities should be established for the verification of issued licence and strengthening operations against agent mafia. He instructed that all possible measures should be taken for inauguration of Mobile Driving Licence Branch within a month and urged that International Driving Licence facility in the same manner should be initiated in Korangi Licence Branch as well besides Clifton and Nazimabad Branch.
