SPC doubtful IDPs of NWAsettling in Sindh would return

KARACHI: Sindh Progressive Committee (SPC) said on the past experience it was doubtful Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan (NW) settling in Sindh would probably not go back to their native places. It is therefore demanded IDPs of NW should be settled inKhyber Pakhtunkhwa or in Islamabad, instead settling them in Sindh. Workers of Jeay Sindh Mahaz, Awami Workers Party and Communist party of Pakistan attended the protest. Chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz Abdul Khalique Junejo said it was not fair those IDPs who were being settled for a short span of time should be settled in areas which were two thousand kilometer away from their homes. He said Sindhis were facing the threats becoming minority on their own soil because of influx of outsiders. Awami Workers Party leader Yusuf Mastikhan, leader of the Communist Party Nasir Mansoor, advocate Jahangir Rahujo, Abdul Bari of Sindhi Adabi Sangat and others saidthousands of Sindhis were on roads protesting the settlements of IDPs of NW. They said Sindh, which was once a place of prosperity now facing lawlessness, hunger, sectarian and religions clashes.
