KARACHI: Two persons were killed and two others injured in different violence incidents in the city on Friday.
Two men, Iftikhar, 40, and Faizan, 45, were shot and injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on them near Karachi Development Authority (KDA) flats in Surjani Town. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment where they succumbed to their injuries.
Separately, a man, Syed Badshah, aged 35, was shot and injured by unknown culprits at Mansehra Colony in Landhi.
He was shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.
Meanwhile, another man Salman, 30, son of Anees, received bullet injuries when unknown armed men opened fire on him at Korangi Crossing near Shamim Masjid.
He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
Meanwhile, four persons were killed in different mishaps in the city on Friday. In the first incident, a man named Nadeem, 28, son of Aman, was killed when a speeding vehicle ran over him at New Truck Stand in Maripur.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (KPC) for medico-legal formalities. Separately, Tanveer Ahmed, 35, son of Fazal Ahmed, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit his bike on Hub River Road in Baldia Town. The body was shifted to CHK for a post-mortem examination. In another incident, Zahid Khan, 35, son of Mehboob Ali, died after receiving electric shocks near Bilal Masjid, Defense Phase IV in Khayaban-e-Badban. The body was shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the body of an unknown drug-addict, aged 30, was recovered near Rexar Bridge in Old Golimar. It was shifted to Edhi morgue.
