KARACHI: A suicide bomber attacked the vehicle of a Rangers officer on Friday, injuring four people.
Reports said the bomber blew himself up near a Rangers’ patrolling vehicle in Qayyumabad, a suburb of Korangi Town in Karachi where three polio workers were gunned down last month. According to SSP Korangi, vehicle of Rangers’ Sector Commander, Brigadier Basit, was targeted in the attack which left four people including Rangers officers injured. The law-enforcing personnel cordoned off the area as Bomb Disposal Squad was called to search the blast site. Friday’s attack came a day after a remote-controlled blast left 13 police commandos dead outside a police training centre in Razzaqabad locality.
