Lyari needs attention

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Culture and Tourism Ms Sharmila Faruqui said Lyari a stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) needed support and it was our sole responsibility to educate and support the people of Lyari. Talking to media at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Library’ at Government Poly-Technical Institute of Lyari installed by Sindh Culture and Tourism Department she said Library was a gift for the youth who has to steer the country in near future. More books and computers will be provided to the Institute. It is good to see girls are also getting technical education. Such initiates will also be adopted in future for the betterment of this deprived locality. PPP provincial Minister Javaid Nagori and MPA Sania Naz appreciated the work and efforts done by Sindh Culture and Tourism Department as well as Sharmila Faruqui for the students of Lyari. They urged the propaganda about the law and order situation of Lyari should be stopped as Lyari is peace full place. MPA Kosar Perveen Principal Government Poly-Technical Institute , Abdul Nabi Dahri Principal girls section, Ziauddin and Liaquat Ali Awan were also present.
