KARACHI: The Iqra University organised the largest on-campus job fair on Thursday. The event commenced with the due arrival of the participating companies with their respective delegations for a daylong continuous activity with various batches of prospective candidates.
Iqra University President Dr UAG Isani thanked the corporate sector with an overwhelming feeling of appreciation.
He told the delegates that their participation meant a lot to the IU, and that their selection would prove worthy in the due course of time.
A collaborative session of the MDs, CEOs and the HR practitioners of the participating organisations was also arranged, underlining the latest research findings concerning major skills and idiosyncrasies to be rated top for employability of the prospective employees.
The esteemed panel of corporate appraised the zest of the entire event and appreciated the abundance of opportunities to graduates who had instigated their steps towards the corporate world.
More than 80 organisations participated in the IU job fair for recruitment of aspiring graduates and to make early connections within the corporate arena.
Customised orientation sessions took place, which comprised of evaluative tests. The tests were devised as per requirements of the recruiting organisations, including computer-based and conventional tests. Induction interviews were then held for short-listed candidates.
