PPP Karachi to bring out motorcycle rally on Aug 14

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi would likely to bring out independence rally on motorcycles onAugust 14 that would start afternoon from Bilawal House Clifton and terminate at the mausoleum of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. PPP would attend ‘Gaza Million March’ being organised by Jamat-e Islami Karachi on Aug 17, as the march was being held to express solidarity with the war-affected innocent people of Gaza. PPP Karachi division took these decisions in a meeting after deliberations on activities pertaining to Independence Day. The meeting decided to establish a reception camp at Bilawal House to deal with the rally preparations and Gaza Million March. Abdul Qadir Patel said PPP would not allow anyone to conspire against democracy in the disguise of protest marches on Aug 14, the Independence Day of Pakistan. General Secretary Syed Najmi Alam, Information Secretary Lateef Mughal and members provincial assembly Jawaid Nagori, Muhammad Sajid Jokhio, member National Assembly Shah Jehan Balouch, Fareed Ansari and others attended the meeting.
