Bilawal Bhutto condoles death of Akram Kaira


KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari patron-in-chief Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) condoled the death of Chaudhry Mohammad Akram Kaira, father of Shaheed Tauqir Akram Kaira and uncle of former federal Minister Qamaruz Zaman Kaira and PPP Punjab General Secretary Tanvir Ashraf Kaira. In his message, he said Kaira family has always been in the forefront in the struggle for democracy and people’s rights under the leadership of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He paid tributes to Chaudhry Mohammad Akram Kaira for fulfilling his patriarchal role for his family through all thick and thin. Firing incidents take lives of two KARACHI: At least two persons lost their lives and another was injured in different firing incidents in parts of metropolis in the last 24 hours. According to rescue sources, a bullet riddled body of unknown person aged 26 was recovered from Khada Market Lyari near Fayaz Peshwari Ice Cream shop and shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. In another incident one Irshad Begum lost her life when unknown armed person shot her dead on Maripur Road Hawksbay. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. One more firing incident occurred at Khamosh Colony where Faisal (28) son of Ahtesham a resident of Liquatabad C Area sustained bullet injuries and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Junaid ur Rehman (25) son of Muhammad Hussain resident of Shah Faisal Colony died in a road traffic accident in Baloch Colony area. The body was shifted to JPMC. In another road accident, Tahir son of Noor Uddin aged 45 died when a vehicle hit him. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital. Meanwhile Aashiq (30) son of Ghulam was found dead at his home in Dawood Goth Baldia Town and was taken to Civil Hospital for an autopsy where doctors affirmed his death by poisoning. Meanwhile Karachi police claimed to have arrested 46 criminals in 76 different raids and killed four alleged criminals in different encounters in the city during the last 24 hours. ppi Protester injured outside Karachi Press Club KARACHI: Unknown armed man outside the Karachi Press Club (KCB) shot a protestor in leg on Saturday. Habib (31) was among the fishermen who were protesting over the ban on fishing along the city beaches when a man in black car fired the shot. Chairman Fisher Folk Forum Muhammad Ali Shah said they were protesting peacefully when a man stepped out of his car and shot one of their fishermen. The motive behind target was not known. However, in response to a question Ali Shah remarked he suspected nobody but has concerns over the issue. Soon after the incident, a police van approached the crime spot and arrested the assailant, seized his gun and took him to unknown location for further investigation. ppi PMA to organise Azadi Rally on August 13 KARACHI: Government of Sindh Health Employees (GSHE) in collaboration with Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) is going to organise Jashn-e-Azadi Rally on August 13 to mark Independence Day of Pakistan. The Jashn-e-Azadi Rally will start from Civil Hospital and culminated at PMA House. A large number of doctors, medical students, paramedics, nurses, lady health workers, vaccinators, clerks and members of civil society will participate in the rally. Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah are invited as chief guests to grace the rally.
