Woman among two shot dead in city

* Three killed in mishaps

KARACHI: Unknown armed men gunned down two persons including a woman and injured another here on Friday and escaped the scene. 
Police said that in Bilal Colony area of Karachi unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at three persons injuring them critically. 
The injured were rushed to nearby hospital where a man and woman succumbed to their wounds while another injured woman was under treatment.
The culprits managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime. Police have registered a case against unknown accused and started the investigation.
Meanwhile, three people were killed and another injured in different mishaps in the city on Friday. 
A man, Muhammad Afzal, 30, son of Muhammad Majid, was killed and other Danish, 20, son of Ghulam Fareed, injured when an unknown speeding vehicle hit their bike at Khuda Ki Basti in Surrjani Town. The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy and treatment respectively.
An unidentified man, aged 40, was killed when a speeding train hit him near City Railway Colony. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
Separately, a man, aged 30, was hit and killed by a train near Kazafi Town in Landhi. 
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem examination. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.
