Exhibition of Quran manuscripts opens

KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Culture, Sharmila Farooqi ,on Monday inaugurated exhibition of more than 100 rare copies/ manuscripts of holy Quran at National Museum, Karachi. The manuscripts also included rare manuscripts of hundreds of years old including the 14th century manuscript written in gold in Sultan Abu Muzaffar Shah’s era. The exhibition would continue till the end of Ramazan.  Speaking on the occasion, Sharmila said that the rare and precious Quran manuscripts were a treasure and their designs and writings were superb. She said that such exhibitions would bring more people towards the museum, restoring its lost glory. She said that people especially young generation should come forward to have a look at their history and heritage.
