KARACHI: Teachers organisations on Thursdaydemanded of Secretary Education Sindh to immediately withdraw newly introduced admission policy for colleges in Karachi and introduce an easy and corruption-free admission policy. In a statement issued Tanzeem-e-Asatza Pakistan Sindh President Abu Hamid Aazmi and President Higher Education Forum Professor Mazhar Hussain rejected the introduction of computerised admission forms and said majority of students did not have computers in their homes and they had to bear expenses of internet-cafes to fill their admission forms. They said the education department’s policy of rejecting admission forms due to any mistake and not giving substitute form would create problems for students. They said the old system of admission was based on corruption, but the government has replaced it with a system that also inefficient. They said instead of changing admission systems the education department should end its widespread corruption.
