Sindh Rangers issues Karachi operation report

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers issued a detailed report of arrests, killings and confiscations since September 2013 during Karachi operation. According to the Rangers spokesperson, 178 criminals have been killed, 2,787 arrested in 3,285 raids since the start of operation on September 5, 2013. The arrested include 150 target killers, 213 extortionists, 27 kidnappers and twelve terrorists. Rangers killed 178 terrorists in 126 raids and recovered 32 abductees. During the operation, around 4,895 arms were confiscated which included machine guns, light machine guns, rocket propelled grenade, sub machine guns, hand grenades, rocket launchers and Improvised Explosive Devices. Fifteen Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom while forty-three received severe injuries. Moreover, 190,000 different types of bullets were also recovered from criminal elements within the city. Law Enforcement Agencies are busy in a targeted operation against criminal elements in the city known as Pakistan’s economic hub since September last year.
