KARACHI: Four more suspects, including target killer of MQM-L and close associates of LGW Commanders, were apprehended during ongoing raids and operations in parts of Karachi on Wednesday. At least two suspects were arrested during a targeted raid conducted in the Lyari neighborhood by the paramilitary forces – Rangers. The suspects arrested were later identified as Maqbool Ali and Haseeb. According to a Rangers spokesperson, the suspects arrested belonged to Lyari gang war groups of Uzair Baloch and Baba Ladla, adding that they were wanted by the law enforcers in various cases of target killings and extortion. Separately, the paramilitary force also arrested another accused, namely Javed Hussain Khaskheli alias Javed Qandhari, during a raid conducted in Gulberg locality. The accused was wanted in various cases of crime including a police encounter. The spokesperson also claims to have recovered arms and ammunition from their possession while further investigation was underway. Meanwhile, the Counter-Terrorism Department of the Sindh police also claims to have arrested a notorious target killer. The accused was identified as Faisal alias Billu and was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off at Masan Road in Jackson area. CTD in-charge Ali Raza said that the accused belongs to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London who, during the initial course of interrogation, revealed that he has been involved in at least four cases of target killings in the Khokhrapar area of Malir. Weapons were also recovered from his possession. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
