PR refuses to provide special train to PTI

KARACHI: Pakistan Railways (PR) has refused to provide a special train to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for its upcoming long march in Islamabad. According to reports, the decision was taken due to security threats and other railway issues. The PTI had submitted an application to the DS Railway Karachi to run a special train for its workers who would like to participate in the long march scheduled on August 14. The application was forwarded to the railway headquarters Lahore where a high-level meeting decided to reject PTI’s request. The party requested to reserve 14 bogies that would take the participants from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
