KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Iqbal Mehmood, on Tuesday presented cash rewards and appreciation certificates to police teams and SHOs of different police stations for showing excellent performance.
According to Sindh police spokesman, the awards were given away to policemen and officials of New Karachi police station, Shahra-e-Noor Jehan police station, Peerabad police station and Saeedabad police station for apprehending criminals involved in various criminal activities.
As pert details, SHO Inspector Fasih-uz-Zaman, ASI Shakil Ahmed, ASI Mohammad Ali, Head Constable Abdul Shehzad and Constables Abid Hussain, Taj Malik, Ghulam Mustafa and Saeed Khan were presented awards for arresting Islam, son of Mubarak Shah and Saeed Zahid, son of Mian Gul on 02 March 2014. They were booked under cases 98/14 and 99/14 at Quaidabad police station.
Similarly, SHO Saeedabad Sub Inspector Ayaz Uddin, SI Nazeer Ahmed Arain and constables, Munsab Shah, Javed and Nasir Ahmed were awarded for apprehending two accused Ghulam Qadir, son of Ghulam Sarwar and Shabbir Ahmed, son of Sohail Khan, booked under FIR 73/14 at Steel Town police station.
SHO SI Tariq Mehmood, ASI Kabir Ahmed, ASI Rashid Ahmed Khan, Head Constable Ghulam Shahbir and constables, Mohammad Asif, Noman Shaikh, Shams-ul-Haq, Azam Khan, Raja Tanvir and new recruited former military personnel Ahmer Khan were given cash awards and appreciation certificates for killing accused Sadiq in encounter, who was booked under FIR 66/14 and 67/14 at Shahra-e-Noor Jehan police station.
