Valasai asks Punjab CM to save historic Katasraj temple

KARACHI: Surendar Valasai advisor to Pakistan Peoples Party patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto for minority affairs has asked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to save the historic Hindu temples site Katasraj from turning into a permanent grazing ground for animals in Chakwal district. In a letter to Shahbaz Sharif, he drew his attention towards the media reports ancient Hindu temple KatasRaj in Chakwal has been turned into a grazing ground for cattle and photos in this regard have also been appeared in the national media. Being the Chief Minister of historic province of Punjab, I am sure you are aware about the legacy of your province where ancestors built worship places of their religion with much reverences and beliefs, Surendar added. He demanded immediate action to protect this ancient temple from perpetual desecration and the necessary steps required for it as such happenings have caused provocation among the minority communities of the whole country.
