LAHORE: Minister for Food and Cabinet Price Control Committee Chairman Bilal Yasin has said that artificial price hike has reduced considerably due to establishment of Sastay Sahulat bazaars. He said that fresh edible items are being provided to the people on comparatively cheaper rates.
He said this during a surprise visit to Wahdat Colony and Gulshan-e-Ravi Sahulat bazaars. He directed the staff of market committee to further reduce the prices mentioned in the lists in the morning so that eatable items should be available to the consumers on cheaper rates. He directed food authority not to compromise on quality and security arrangements of the bazaars. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to make security arrangements in Sahulat bazaars for the protection of the people.
Bilal Yasin while taking to the consumers said that they should supplement the efforts of the government against price hike. He said that provincial government is implementing a comprehensive system for stabilising prices so that hoarding should be eliminated and essential items could be available to the people at cheaper rates.
