LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that there is a need to portray a softer image of the country through art and rich culture.
Speaking at the inauguration of an art and photography exhibition titled ‘The Art of Healing’ by Naeem Aftab and Zarmina at the Nairang Art Gallery on Sunday, he said that society and the state could not be deprived of their cultural heritage.
To a query, the information minister said that the government was committed to presenting the true colours of Pakistan to the world through the promotion of art and culture, and preserving the cultural heritage of the country. “Gone are the days when some misled people tarnished the true identity of Pakistan,” he responded. Pervaiz Rashid said that the government was committed to the portrayal of true identity of the country through cultural activities.
