LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will launch the pilot project of evening classes for child labourers, dropouts and out-of-school children under its education voucher scheme (EVS) so that they could get free of cost education up to matriculation in evening times and improve their economic prospects.
According to a handout, this project will be especially beneficial for those needy children, who could not go to schools in morning due to various reasons.
In this regard, a meeting was held at the foundation head office on Saturday which was attended by representatives of nine non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in the field of education in various districts. The NGOs representatives shared their success stories on relevant projects.
