LAHORE: The end of fog on Sunday was a relief for the cold-stricken citizens who had experienced a rainy spell for almost a week.
A large number of people, including women and children, visited various gardens and parks in the city to enjoy the sunshine.
Bagh-e-Jinnah, Jilani Park, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, Shalimar Garden, Lahore Zoo, Minar-e-Pakistan area, the Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque and other such places were full of people.
Dozens of families were seen cooking in parks to add to their picnic fun, while children were seen playing different games, including cricket and football.
On the other hand, the Met Office has predicted mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country, including the provincial capital, during the next 24 hours while fog is expected in plain areas of Punjab during morning hours.
In the city, the minimum temperature was recorded 9 Celsius and the maximum 21 Celsius.
