ISLAMABAD – Federal government on Monday decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged and rejected the proposed summary of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to slash the price by up to Rs 5. According to details, OGRA has forwarded a summary seeking decrease in the prices of petroleum products – petrol price by Rs 3 per liter, high speed diesel by Rs 4.10, light diesel by Rs 2.50, kerosene oil by Rs 3.50 and high octane by Rs 4.50 per liter. The final announcement about petroleum prices is yet to be made. On the other hand, users are of the opinion that prices of petroleum products should at least go down by Rs 5 following the sudden 8 dollar per barrel decline in the price of crude oil in international market.
