Shujat said that services of expatriates for promoting positive image of Pakistan were highly commendable, whether it was a matter of boosting foreign exchange reserves or contesting case of Pakistan at the international level, voice of Overseas Pakistanis has always been very prominent. “Overseas Pakistanis feel the effect of any crisis in Pakistan, they have never been ignorant about situation back at home,” he said.

He said that all Pakistanis in Europe and elsewhere in the world were one nation and as such only slogan of Pakistan should be raised there over and above politics. He told the delegation members that they were the identity and ambassadors of Pakistan. He also said that safeguarding the properties of expatriates was also very much essential, Supreme Court was making effective headway in this matter, the government should also seriously consider their problems.

The delegation members said that they had come to Pakistan at the invitation of the Punjab government but instead of solving the problems of Overseas Pakistanis, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif kept remembering the entertainment he had enjoyed from naan-kabab receptions.
