NEPRA reduces power tariff



ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday issued a notification, reducing per unit tariff by Rs 1.48. However, the reduction will not benefit domestic consumers using 50 up to units of electricity a month, agriculture farmers and consumers of K-Electric. According to the notification, this cut in power price has been given on account of fuel price adjustments for the month of April. The power distribution companies (Discos) will provide customers with a relief of up to Rs 7 billion and they will find the relief in their monthly bill of upcoming month of June.
