ISLAMABAD - Islamabad Police on Thursday foiled a terror bid by recovering over two kilograms explosives near mausoleum of sufi saint Bari Imam.
According reports, the explosives were found inside an under construction building located near the tomb of Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi commonly known as Bari Imam. He is the patron saint of Islamabad and the Pothohar region.
Officials said Bomb Disposal Squad was called which checked the explosive material weighting over two kg. Wires were found connected with the bomb. It has been seized by sensitive agencies, sources said.
