RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Saturday reiterated that Pakistan Army was a battle-hardened force, fully prepared to fight across the entire spectrum of threat.
Appreciating the operational readiness and motivation of troops during his visit to Siachin Glacier, where he also spent time with the troops at the highest battleground of the world, he said: “We will not hesitate from any sacrifice for the defence of the motherland.”
The Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) said that the COAS laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada Monument at Gayari and paid tribute to all those valiant officers and soldiers, who laid down their lives in defence of the motherland.
While talking to soldiers and officers, he appreciated their high state of morale despite most challenging environment and extremely harsh weather.
The COAS advised all of the troops to remain focused on their professional obligations and training for an effective response to any emerging challenge.
