‘Pak-Us mily cooperation, intelligence sharing strengthening’

Ambassador Jilani says cooperation to continue with respect to surveillance of Pak-Afghan border

WASHINGTON – Ambassador to US Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that military cooperation and intelligence sharing between Pakistan and the US is heading efficiently and effectively and this cooperation will continue in a more amicable way with respect to surveillance of Pak-Afghan border.

Talking to a private TV channel after attending a dinner reception, he said that Pakistan's stance with respect to elections in Afghanistan was clear and there would be no interference. He said that Pakistan's role in this regard has been appreciated by the world and the US.

Jilani said Pakistan hopes to get money from Asian Development Bank and World Bank next month as well as next installment of Coalition Support Fund. According to the ambassador, the money amounting to $350 million would be received in the next few days.
