LONDON: A review petition vis-à-vis money laundering case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain has been filed in London High Court. Six persons including the MQM chief have been on bail in the money laundering case in London since 2012. According to the Scotland Yard Police (SYP), the review petition has been filed by one of those who have been released on bail in the case. The SYP chief has been made respondent in the review petition in which questions have been raised on the nature and pace of investigations into the money laundering case. The petitioner has prayed the court that if there is no evidence of money laundering against these leaders, then investigations against them should be closed. According to a SYP spokesperson, the London Court has informed them in this regard and the police will soon file its reply in the court.
