LAHORE – The nation is observing mourning for 72 people who lost their lives in Sunday’s deadly suicide attack in Lahore. After the announcement of All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, private schools across Pakistan are closed although government schools are opened. But three days of mourning have been announced in Punjab. The provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan have declared Monday as day of mourning in the wake of Lahore terrorist attack. The death toll has mounted to 72, including 23 children, with more than nearly 325 people injured. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday morning visited Lahore’s Jinnah hospital and inquired after health of those injured. In a show of solidarity with the victims, all the business centers and markets have been shut down. Trader associations have said that they have closed their businesses to express sympathy with the sufferers. Besides this, Sindh Bar Council has also announced a day of mourning.
