PM's visit to help improve ties, says Basit

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to India would help improve the relations, besides resolving the long-standing issues.


He said that the prime minister's vision for peace and development in the region would remove the differences between the two sides. He also said that all the matters or issues should be resolved through dialogue.


"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit will bring prosperity for the people of this region," he stated as the prime minister landed in India for a two-day visit on the invitation of the newly-elected Indian prime minister.
