LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Ch Shujaat Hussain has said Nawaz Sharif should also visit the graves of martyrs of Gujarat anti-Muslim riots if he wants his India tour to be dubbed ‘successful’.
According to press release issued here on Sunday, the PML-Q chief said Nawaz had for the first time clashed with the institutions. “Previously, he clashed with army chiefs General Waheed Kakar, General Jahangir Karamat, General Asif Nawaz Janjua and General Pervez Musharraf. But this time the circumstances will be quite different,” he said.
In response to a question about mid-term elections, Shujaat said, “Leave aside mid-term election. First the rigging done in general election should be exposed.” He said Nawaz keeps talking about changing the map of Pakistan. “He should not talk like this. Changing of map has double meanings. InshaAllah, we will not let map of Pakistan be changed,” he maintained. Shujaat reiterated that PML-Q will stand in defence of armed forces wherever and whenever needed. He said rallies to express solidarity with the army will continue.
