QUETTA – Pakistan Army has established a number of relief camps in Balochistan for displaced people of Waziristan tribal area, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations on Thursday.
The ISPR said that the camps have been established in cantonments of Quetta, Khuzdar, Loralai, Chaman, Sibi and Kashmor on the directives of Southern Command Commander Lt General Nasir Khan Janjua. The philanthropists had been appealed to donate items including flour, pulses, dry milk, tea leaves, cloths etc, for the people who had been displaced due to military operation in their areas.
“The donated cash and relief items would be dispatched to camps where these displaced people have the shelter,” the press release added. It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan Army had already donated one day of salaries of its officers and soldiers and one month ration for the displaced persons of the tribal areas.
