ISLAMABAD – Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench on Tuesday issued directions for registration of an FIR against Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Kamran Micheal over an alleged fraud of Rs 60 million. The complainant approached a local police station in Murree for registration of First Information Report (FIR) against Kamran Michael over the sale of the Holy Trinity Church. However, the matter was deferred on the behest of the powerful accused persons. The additional session judge directed the Murre Police Station SHO to register the FIR against the accused persons including Kamran Micheal. Allegedly Kamran Micheal in connivance with few others including Shafiq Masih looted Rs 60 million from Waqar Ahmed Khan, a property adviser dealing in the business of property. Syed Khawar Ameer Bukhari, the council for the complainant, pleaded that accused persons defrauded money from his client on the pretext of sale/lease of the Holy Trinity Church, Mall Road, Murree in the beginning of 2013 when Kamran Micheal was holding the office of the minister for minorities.
