Treason case hearing adjourned till September 2

ISLAMABAD – The sit-ins of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PAT) at the 'red zone' area of the federal capital caused hearings of the treason trial against former president Pervez Musharraf to be adjourned without any proceedings on Tuesday.

The case was heard in the Federal Shariat Court building today. Musharraf's counsel Farough Nasim had pleaded to the court to give a new date for the hearing as it would be impossible for them to reach the court due to the sit-ins of the protesting parties in Islamabad.

The court adjourned the hearing till September 2.
