ISLAMABAD: The interrogation report of Model Town incident is being made public today (Monday).
Sources told Online that the team of sensitive departments probing the incident has held Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif mainly responsible for the incident At least 14 workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were killed and more than 90 were injured in the Model Town on June 17.
According to the report, the deceased and injured persons were innocent and the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the then Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Tauqeer were responsible for the incident.
After the incident, the PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri held Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif responsible for the unfortunate incident and he along with his party activist has also organised a protest sit-in in Islamabad and his main demand is registration of FIR of the Model Town incident and bringing the involved and responsible people to justice.
